SESSIONS FOR EACH CLASS ARE ONCE A WEEK. Based on demand, classes are held on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evenings 7-9:30 p.m., and Saturday 1-3:30 p.m. When inquiring about any AMS course, please indicate your preferred day.

Studio Courses
BEGINNING ACTING: PART ONE. In this entertaining intro, you’ll learn the important basics, develop an eye for what is good acting, and get familiar with prominent styles and techniques. This course lays the foundation for how you want to do it—the philosophy of the Ackerman Moss Studio. Lots of fun acting games, exercises, improv, and monologue work. EIGHT SESSIONS. BEGINNING ACTING: PART TWO. Picking up where part one left off, this course helps further define your technique, and identify your strengths, as well as areas you would like to improve. It dives deeper in the important concept of “the beat,” and how it can ground and animate your performance. EIGHT SESSIONS. COURSE FEE: $90.00
INTERMEDIATE ACTING. Build upon your foundation with this intermediate class that focuses on scene study. You’ll learn how to read a script with a critical eye, discover arcs, and really bring your character to life. For those who have completed Beginning Acting (Parts One & Two) or those with theatrical and/or camera experience ready for the next level. EIGHT SESSIONS. COURSE FEE: $90.00
AUDITION WORKSHOP. Auditions are a nerve wracking, but unavoidable step to getting the part. You’ll learn how to prepare, gain confidence, cold read, and deliver a memorable audition. Great for beginners or those who want to hone their audition chops. SIX SESSIONS. COURSE FEE: $70.00
QUIET ON THE SET! In this hands-on course, you’ll learn about working on a professional TV or film set, and what to do when you get in front of a camera. Plenty of screen time. SIX SESSIONS. COURSE FEE: $70.00
SILVER SCREEN ACTING. For classic cinema buffs! In this unique course you’ll explore and critique the work of some legendary film actors, and what made them so great. You’ll also ply your talents at re-creating some of the most famous scenes in Hollywood history. EIGHT SESSIONS. COURSE FEE: $90.00
STUDIO TIME. A tailored and personalized coaching experience for those who have completed Beginning and/or Intermediate Acting, are working on new material, or polishing their craft. ONGOING. $25/SESSION/2 SESSION MINIMUM.
